J. Nathan Overstreet has a civil trial practice with an emphasis in personal injury trial law (acted as lead or sole counsel in 30+ jury trials). He earned his law degree from Baylor University School of Law in 1992 after receiving his B.A. in History and Speech Communication from Baylor University in 1989. The Supreme Court of Texas licensed Mr. Overstreet in 1992, and he obtained admission to practice in all federal courts for both the northern and southern districts of Texas shortly thereafter. Mr. Overstreet is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2000 and was re-certified in 2004. Less than three percent (3%) of all Texas’ attorneys have obtained this certification.
Mr. Overstreet primarily focuses his practice on cases involving trial advocacy, and fellow attorneys consistently refer him complex cases entangled in complicated litigation. Although he primarily represents individuals, he benefits from his one-year experience in an insurance defense firm in advocating for clients on insurance claims. Mr. Overstreet formerly represented the Kingdom of Saudi. His representative clients also include a number of Houston retail and wholesale car dealerships. His caseload includes family law litigation, and his past experience includes custody disputes and marital property division of both small and multi-million estates.
